Representatives from the Wet Tropics Management Authority pose for a picture adorned in Cassowary costumes at the Cairns Eco Fiesta in the Munro Martin Parklands on the 4th of June 2023. Organised by the Cairns Regional Council, the Eco Fiesta is an environment and sustainability-focussed festival to celebrate and support far north Queensland’s Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics Rainforests. Spectators and environmental groups gathered in Cairns’ own Munro Martin Parklands for local foods, green technologies, recycled goods, live music, lectures and workshops.
