This comes after the state of Queensland in Australia only officially completely decriminalised abortion in 2018. Thousands marched from King George Square through the central business district.

Members of the Solidarity and Resistance Collective and the public rallied outside Queensland Parliament House and later marched to the Supreme Court to protest against new anti-protest laws both within the state of Queensland and elsewhere.
