Veterans take part in the parade through Brisbane's central business district Current and retired servicepeople, students and many others marched through the streets during the Brisbane City ANZAC Day Parade as many onlookers gathered to spectate and pay respects. ANZAC day is a commemorative public holiday in remembrance of Australian and New Zealand service people. The first ANZAC day was on 25 April 1916, one year after the landings at Gallipoli during the first world war.

This comes after the state of Queensland in Australia only officially completely decriminalised abortion in 2018. Thousands marched from King George Square through the central business district.
