Professional photojournalist based in Brisbane, Australia
My passion for photography began of course browsing the remarkable pages of National Geographic as a child, and this of course would eventually inspire me to go in such a direction as an adult. A healthy fascination for creepy crawlies in my back yard and a need to discover new sights, tastes and smells led me to want to travel to discover and learn about new places, things and people with camera in hand.
My technical and conceptual education comes from both a Diploma from TAFE Queensland and a Bachelor of Photography from Griffith University's Queensland College of Art.
I see my task as a photographer and journalist as another means to inspire people to care for the people and places around them. Particular interests of mine are conservation photography, social documentary, live music and cultural events.
