Joshua Prieto

Brisbane, Australia based wildlife and social documentary photojournalist

My love of making pictures grows every day. I enjoy discovering more about the world and the people, places and animals in it and showing others what I see through my eyes. I like to take my time with my subjects as they gift me the opportunities needed to create my imagery.

My technical and conceptual education comes from both a Diploma from TAFE Queensland and a Bachelor of Photography from Griffith University's Queensland College of Art.

I've produced work with international non-governmental organisations such as Wildlife Alliance and TPO in Cambodia, as well as with the Queensland Museum, Chinchilla Veterinary Services and the Australian Federation of Obstacle Sports.

My work has been exhibited at the Queensland College of Art, Maud Street Gallery, publicly in Kathmandu, Nepal and Ipswich Community Gallery.

Internationally published by organisations such the Guardian, SBS, Australian Photography, Deutsche Welle, Vox, ABC, BBC, Radio France, Newscorp, Business Insider, Hardie Grant, Griffith University, University of Queensland and Wildlife Australia magazine.
